Invulnerability Barrier[Seuil D'invulnerabilite in french]

Question regarding this. It has always been a kinda grey area in my group to know what applies to determine if it works or not. I know its easy to bypass it with a bunch of ways but regular jacks in town dont usualy have the ways to do that.

So say i have a guy with a barrier of 50. Then i have a guy attacking with a 8 str score and a +10 parrying dagger resulting in a damage total of 50. My group has the idea that the damage is taken from the base weapon( 40 ). Im thinking more along the lines of a complete application of the damage ( 50 ). Which is the correct answer? does it calculate only the base damage of the weapon or all the modifiers with it.

Im not sure if this is formulated in a way that makes sense.

It is the base damage of the attack, not the weapon.

For example long sword +5 has damage of 60 (base 50 + 10 from quality), now we add +15 from strength the base damage of the attack is now 75 which the barrier goes against.
